برنامج السمعيات و النطق

• عيادة السمعيات:

تقدم العيادة خدمات الفحص وتقييم السمع وتركيب المعينات السمعية وصيانتها لجميع الحالات المحتاجة لجميع الفئات العمرية، بالإضافة للإرشاد والتوجيه اللازم للتعامل مع المعينات السمعية، والمحافظة عليها، والإجراءات الوقائية للمحافظة على بقايا السمع، وقد استطاع البرنامج تلبية احتياجات الأشخاص ذوي صعوبات السمع لعدد 2736 شخص على مدار العام 2016م،  ويشرف على تقديم الخدمات في العيادة أخصائي بدرجة ماجستيرر في السمعيات ومساعد إداري.

• عيادة النطق واللغة:

قامت العيادة بتقديم خدمات تقييم النطق وجلسات معالجة لصعوبات النطق لكافة الحالات التي تزيد أعمارها على أربع سنوات؛ كما تم تقديم الإرشاد الفردي والجمعي لأولياء الأمور لكيفية التعامل مع الأطفال ذوي صعوبات النطق واللغة داخل الأسرة، وقد استفاد من خدمات القسم عدد 273 شخص على مدار العام 2016م، ويعمل في العيادة مختصين ذوي خبرة في مجال علاج مشاكل النطق و اللغة.

The overall objective: Raise the level of verbal communication of persons with hearing, speech, and language disability to support the different aspects of their development. The program provides screening and evaluation services for the hearing, speech and language capabilities for all members in the community of all ages using modern devices. In events where the screening shows a weakness in this capacity, the program works on the installation of the appropriate hearing aids with the provision of maintenance services.

The beneficiaries are provided with the needed instructions concerning the proper use of the hearing aids. The program also provides therapy sessions for beneficiaries from the community having speech and language difficulties starting from four years of age. Parents of children with speech and language difficulties are provided with instructions and guidance on how to deal with these difficulties within the family to ensure the achievement of the desired results.
